Strategic Management TECEP
Synicaal Wrote:The time is upon me lol, Strategic Management TECEP to start in about 23minutes from now!! Taking these last few minutes I have left to go over notes and try and pick up another vocal word or two. Well and of course checking in on the good members of degree forum. I feel like if I get passed this hurdle It will be smooth sailing for me from here on. I keep going back and forth on wether or not to cancel my exam and schedule it for a few more weeks out but I want to be able to get in for June exam if for some reason I don't pass it so I will be taking it in 20minutes.

You put the work in, I'm sure you'll do great!

Question:

I am registered for both the April and June terms. Do I need to take the April test today or can I wait and still do the June test?

The April term is April 3 - June 25. So you can take the test any time in that timeframe.

I would take it sooner rather than later, like before the June term starts. That way, if you don't need to take it again, you can ask for a refund.

Happy to report back after finish the Strategic Management test!! Took about 1.5 of the three hours it gives you. ProctorU decided to take a decent amount of time getting me started which hurt slightly but don't think it was a huge bump. I have to say bricabrac's notes and additional exam feedback was downright the thing that helped me pass. The 20th edition of the book was terrible, I was having other people help me out on some studying and notes because this version of the book is pretty much useless. Anyways I do feel as I passed this exam, it was mainly due to the short answer and essay style questions and not so much the multiple choice. I am not sure how well I did on the multiple choice but I did keep track of the minimal amount of points I should get on each essay/short answer and at most I think I need 5 or so multiple choice questions which I know I got at least that many right. I will be shocked to find out I didn't pass this test. I must say I am glad this is a 60% to pass because I doubt I will hit the 70 mark. I really should have put another week into this and got better at the multiple choice but whats done is done, now for the long wait to see if I passed it or not... Good Luck to everyone else.!!

I'm going on what other people have been seeing recently. There has been a pretty quick turnaround on grading these the last couple weeks. Most people said they got it 3-5days after the test. Knowing my luck I will have to sit and wait 3weeks lol. Also I'm not sure about being shocked I didn't pass I think I passed but still wont be positive until I actually see that I passed. (Or Failed) Hopefully not a fail! Just checked again right now just in case lol. I will check once more later probably after dinner. Then if nothing I will check again on Friday. I'd really like to see this week otherwise its going to be a long weekend lol.

Synicaal, maybe I missed it, but why did you go for it in early May instead of end of month? Did you want to get results back sooner so you could move on to the last few credits, or to register for the later TECEP in case you didn't pass?

I've just barely begun reviewing the materials. Was going to take the exam May 24, but maybe I should bump that to May 31 and squeeze out every last bit of study time.

1.) I took it because I felt ready enough to pass and wanted to finish it before I needed to start studying for my Intermediate Accounting II Final.
1a.) I wanted to take it with enough time in case I didn't pass that I could still register for June term.
2.) I think the end of the term in May 28th so don't wait until the 31st it will be to late.

My tip is to focus on the short answer/essay stuff (so basically the "lists") there is 70 possible points there. I think I earned about 55 or so just with these at least that's what I am hoping on.

Thanks. I didn't know term ends the 28th. That's how little I've gotten into the course :p

Hopefully my book will arrive this weekend (have only browsed a PDF version), and tomorrow I'll get into getting and exploring all the resources I've seen mentioned on this site.
