How do the InstantCREDIT courses work?
#1
It's not super clear from the website but how does InstantCert work? Is it like Study.com where you can study any course you want but you are only allowed to take (in this case) one exam per month or do you have to pick ahead of time what you're going to be studying? For instance, can I study Spanish while I'm preparing to take the American Government exam or do I have to do American Government first and then I can switch to working on Spanish?

Hi Rachel,

For InstantCREDIT ACE-reviewed courses, the subscription allows you to register for one new course a month. If you want to register for any courses beyond that, the system will ask you to pay another $20 for each additional course you try to register for.

I had a follow-up: it says you have six months to complete each course. Do you have to maintain your membership each month once a course is paid for to continue accessing it?

Yes, you have to have an active subscription to log into the site and access any courses you are registered for.

Is that per month or one-time fees? For instance, I register for American Government and Spanish in September, that's $40. Something comes up and I haven't finished either class within 30 days. In October, would I be paying another $40 or just $20 for the membership? The price is still good either way, I just like to know ahead of time what I'm agreeing to. Smile

The extra $20 per course is a one-time fee. In the example you provided, you would still be charged $20/month in subsequent months.

1-If you pick up the 108$ fee you get all the courses include?
2-If you get all the courses included can you take more than one per month?

No, if you pay the $108, you only get access to one course per month. If you want to do multiple courses in a month, you would probably be better of paying the $20 subscription fee + $20 for each additional course.

This option is no longer working, is this deliberate? I am happy to pay to add another course but the website does not even give me the option, it simply says that you cannot do it with a red error message. I need to take astronomy relatively quickly to submit a transfer credit application and so cannot really wait a month to take a second course. Thanks!
