Chicken Fingers: Who Ripped Off Who?

I tried Zaxby's and noticed that it's a place that focuses on chicken strips just like Raising Cane's does. Both restaurants even have a special sauce that is basically the same, and they sell crinkled fries, coleslaw, and toast. So, in my quest to find out who ripped off who, I found out about Layne's, Bailey's, and Guthrie's. 

Guthrie's opened in 1965, but didn't start focusing on chicken fingers until 1978.

Raising Cane's, probably the most famous of them all, opened in 1996.

Bailey's Chicken Fingers came soon after Raising Cane's and competed directly with it near the Lousiana State University campus. Raising Cane's drove it out of business.
