Be careful about the federal grant issue. TESU originally awarded me a very large amount in grants (confirmed by two people in the department and a department supervisor) and then said "Oops, we misunderstood the new requirements for federal grants. You're only eligible for half as much as we told you and put on your award."
Federal grants should be the same from just about any institution, so it's worth checking in with TESU to compare what the other school is offering you.
Also, for what it's worth, TESU took my recording engineering classes no problem and applied them to my degree. Can't remember what they came in as, but I had about 12 or 15 credits worth and they accepted them no problem for a LSSS.
