Free Courses for DOD

Center for Development in Security Excellence (CDSE)                                 https://www.cdse.edu/
FSO Orientation for Non Possessing Facilities                                                      ISO 020.CU         3LL
FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities                                         ISO 030.CU           3LL
Basic Industrial Security for the Govt Security Specialist                                  ISO 050.CU           3LL
Counterintelligence Awareness Cert                                                                       CI 201.CU           4UL
Antiterrorism Officer (ATO) Level II                                                                         GS 109.16           3LL

Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DCITA)                             http://www.dcita.edu/
Various classes available for enrollment                (Online)

The CDSE focuses on Intel and Physical Security (antiterrorism, homeland security, or criminal justice) while DCITA is about Cyber security. Could help out those folks looking to do some specializations.

Bonus: ATO Level II was 3 UL credits prior to 08/01/2017. Some of you may already have it in your records!

Good Luck!

I have a plan for all 4 of them, including one for Brandman, it varies as to people having prior certifications or if they are starting from scratch. You will not be able to do a block transfer from an associate degree as most of the degree are IT courses, general education courses that transfer would be up to 33 to 50 percent of the degree, you can also add industry certifications to lower that number. It would be similar to the Penn State degree I mentioned earlier - residency credits of 30 credits or so would be required.
In Progress: Walden MBA | TESU BA Biology & Computer Science
Graduate Certificate: Global Management & Entrepreneurship, ASU (Freebie)

Completed: TESU ASNSM Biology, BSBA (ACBSP Accredited 2017)
Universidad Isabel I: ENEB MBA, Big Data & BI, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
Certs: 6Sigma/Lean/Scrum, ITIL | Cisco/CompTIA/MTA | Coursera/Edx/Udacity

Then what would you suggest? CIS? which i am fine with but IT/IS is where i feel i belong and wish to obtain a degree form it or a Business degree and attempt to save my GI Bill for after the Military

Interesting, one of them mentions US Government Civilian employees. I guess that as a current Federal Employee I will be able to take these courses.

The thread on the DAU credits got me searching for more free grad credits on ACE/NCCRS. Came across PBS TeacherLine, Sophia/Capella, & VESI... but I need business and law credits. I actually wrote to ACE last week to try to get a list of all the graduate credits. The guy I spoke to said the manager was out but he'd escalate it to him this coming week. Meanwhile, I also came across the Center for Development of Security Excellence, and it looks like there are at least 6-7 courses eligible for about 3 graduate credits each. Has anyone who isn't in the military or currently active in the government/military had success signing up with these? Any ideas how they would be graded? I am still thinking in terms of transferring them through ACE back over to Walden. Looks like the ones for finance, HR, leadership, and law might be good for me.

I did look into the graduate level material. When I drafted this post I chose the courses that you could register and complete without any approvals process or protoring. The graduate level courses from CDSE require either in person classroom time, teleconferencing, proctoring, or any combination of the above. They also require approval from your organization as that is how they justify the instructor time it takes.

If you do manage to get one set up please let us know how the process went for you. It would be a huge boon to the forums!
