Okay, so I wrote (possibly) my last DSST today. I took 11 in total in 4 different states in less than 30 days. I passed them all, using no textbooks at all and only using official study materials/practice tests. Here's the details:
August 27 (Devry, Fremont CA)
Fundamentals of Counselling: 52 (Cold)
August 29 (Devry, Fremont CA):
Intro to World Religions: 460 (3h IC)
August 30 (Devry, Fremont CA):
Substance Abuse: 424 (personal experience )
Organisational Behaviour: 55 (official practice test)
Sept 17 (Sacramento Test Proctoring Services, Sacramento CA) :
Intro to Business: 441 (cold)
Principles of Supervision: 460 (cold)
Mgmt Info Sys: 454 (cold)
Sept 20 (Mercer County Community College, West Windsor NJ):
HR Mgmt: 57 (cold)
Business Ethics: 430 (cold)
Sept 22 (Cambridge Business Institute, New York NY):
Business Maths: 445 (BAII+ Tutorial)
Principles of Finance: 447 (~1.5h Official practice test/study guide, BAII+ Tutorial)
Thinking of taking Money and Banking in the coming days just for "insurance" of a failed TECEP.
I took most of them cold (not a good strategy obviously) but I found most of them to be really easy. I'm disappointed with my Substance Abuse score and I'm still scratching my head as I write this about my Finance score. Principles of Finance was a monster and I guess I studied the right subjects and had enough background in finance to pass. I can't recommend the official study guide enough for that test as well as learning how to use a financial calculator for at least the basic TVM stuff. To be honest, business is all just common sense so if you apply your analytical skills you should be able to pass most of the tests with IC and other cheap/free resources.
