Sorry, I really wasn't trying to cast shade in your direction.

Nope, waiting to hear word in regards to how their assessments work. I wonder if it's anything remotely similar to ALEKS or other competency-based programs like Capella/Walden or WGU for example. I'll keep them in the running for now... I'll apply once I finish my other IT/Biz certifications in April, going to be off for 3-4 months studying for those and traveling, yay!

Just an FYI, on another post, we're discussing the price of this Kaplan degree, and for a competency-based program, it's very expensive. 6-week terms, so...

Am I seeing this right? $2,200 for a 6 week undergrad term?? Yeesh!

For not much more, you'll get 4-6 *months* and a normal competency based school.

4 or 6 months is not fast enough? It would require a lot of hours for those months.

which school is that that is 4-6 months and decently priced? which one are you planning to attend Ideas? i was thinking of patten and hodges for a while but if there is an easier mba that works sort like ALEKS then that sounds much easier less essay writing/and doing projects

i thought kaplan was the fastest, easiest is there another one? trying to figure graduate school now =) Im up to my finals capstone paper.

WGU is $3250 for a 6 month term.

Patten has 4 month terms and it could be hard to finish in 4 months. One person supposedly did it, after the school told them it was probably not possible. I believe they were writing about three 12 page papers a week in addition to taking exams. If you are considering this school, read the threads about the negative parts of Patten.

I think those are the only two MBAs which are cheap. Then Hodges has an MPA.

I'm not sure if I'm going to get an MBA or not. It's hard to decide, because I do find business interesting and kind of easy. It seems like why not. But I might want to save my money and time toward something else.

One selling point of Patten is you can choose a concentration. They have many good options. At WGU, it's a general MBA.
