Westcott Adding RA Computer Science Courses
#1
Westcott Courses provides courses transcripted for regionally accredited credit by the University of Massachusetts Global, principally to date in mathematics and biology. Most three-credit courses are 500-something dollars, with a few higher math courses more expensive.

Their website now states,

Westcott Courses Wrote:Starting next year, we will be implementing a full set of undergraduate Computer Science courses.  These courses will meet the requirements for entrance into Bachelor and/or Master degree programs in Computer Science, and other Engineering degrees. We currently have Discrete Structures, but will be adding courses in C++ and other languages, Data Structures, Computer Organization and Assembly Language, Software Engineering and Algorithms.

On another page they state they're moving toward using free Open Educational Resources in lieu of paid textbooks in all courses. A few courses still use paid textbooks at this time.

The open education resources (OER) textbooks seems like a good option, another way to save money. Hope they keep adding classes that will transfer into the institutions we recommend, not just UMASS Global. But since these should come in as RA credits at UMass Global transcripts, it should technically come in...

So if I transfer credits, will the accepting institution see, that I took the courses at a for-profit educationprovider or will it simply look like i took the courses directly at UMass? That could make a huge difference in acceptance.

Yes, Westcott classes are good in my books, these should be like the Outlier.org classes that come in on a University of Pittsburg transcript, only thing is, they've moved towards high school partners, otherwise it would have been a very good option as well. They have partners already that will accept these credits, like 50+ institutions or something along those lines...

The transcript you got would be from Brandman University (UMass Global is a PRIVATE college purchased from Brandman University that affiliates with the UMASS system). It looks weird when I purchased the transcript from Parchment, but GT accepted the credits so it should be ok

Just a note some of their courses have one price for non-credit and another for credit courses.
