Total Cost:
20 CLEP/DANTES exams plus $15 test center fees - $1805
2 other exams - GRE and ALEKS - $170
study guides and materials - $1000
class ring and celebration dinners - $875

re-enrollment fee - $440 (lasts 1 year - for bachelor's degree)
2 Student Service Annual Fees - $950 (for second and third year of enrollment for bachelor's degree)
BS graduation fee - $495
Bachelor's Degree Total = $10,700 ($89 per credit) plus 2 trips to graduation ceremonies
Keep in mind there are lots of ways to save even more time and money than I did!
Also, remember several policies have changed since I enrolled for my degrees in 2010. I needed to pay to stay enrolled in order to keep locked-in to my academic policy date. Being enrolled helped in some cases, but it was not a complete guarantee of the policies I needed for the degree I wanted. For new students, a capstone course requirement and English II have been added. Excelsior no longer accepts the Subject GRE for credit. Intro to Computing DSST and new version of Information Systems & Computer Applications CLEP are now being considered duplicates. I was also planning to take the Physical Science DSST to finish my bachelor's degree, but I was told that it would duplicate Chemistry and Natural Science CLEP.
I hope this helps with creating a degree plan. Be sure to download the latest school catalog and Student Guide to Credit by Exam: http://www.excelsior.edu/publications
