SL Coupon Code
(10-11-2017, 10:56 PM)Meika Wrote: I got an email where they said they'll take $50 off my next course, but obviously no code, so I called and they applied the store credit. And none of the codes actually work except CONGRATS50 and EZsave, they are still active for existing students.
Thank you for posting this. I went back through my Straighterline "you earned college credit" emails and found a message on one of the messages that wasn't on the others. I called them and they put a $50 credit on my account. Here's the wording on the email, "*Find a course from our catalog and apply the promo code in your shopping cart. $50 will be taken off the total price of the cart. This promotion cannot be combined with other offers and requires an active Monthly Membership to purchase."

Anyone have any codes that have worked without a membership in the cart? I used some of the other codes listed here and I can't find any other that work for two more classes.

A few weeks ago, I used EZSAVE, it takes $20 off. My membership had already automatically started a new month, so I did not have a membership in my cart. You could also try SPECIALTHANKS ($25 off), HOMESCHOOL50 ($50 off, don't think this one works), or SPECIALTHANKS59. Not sure if any or all of these work, but they're worth trying.
If you want to purchase two classes at the same time, try COMPLETEBOGO (Must have 2 courses in shopping cart) or GETSTARTED2017 (Buy one, get $50 off second). Again, not sure if these work.

If you have membership in your cart, you can use BOO59 to take off the cost of $59 course. Offer good through 10/31/17. Enjoy!

These soon expiring offers seem good. However I don't know which courses to take. I am waiting for transcripts, after that I'll figure out a degree plan. Should I just take a membership now and 1/2 courses and which (preferably UL I guess) or will there be another offer soon?

Or would another provider be cheaper/easier/better anyway?

If you need a bunch of GenEds, SL is considered easiest. It is cheap.

They have coupons all the time, but some are better than others. I think you should figure out 1 or 2 courses that you definitely need and go for it.

No- the second you buy your SL membership you need to hit the ground running. SL is pay by the month, so don't start until you are certain about your first course. Also, NONE will be upper level. Based on what you said about your transcripts, I think you should wait.
