CLACKAMAS Credit From FEMA Courses

Good afternoon,

I am interested in boosting my GPA before graduating in a couple of months, and after reading a bit of information on FEMA courses learned that Clackamas College will convert your FEMA credits into their own courses. For anybody that has done this, was a grade associated with the course, or had it remained as P/F for the credit? I am thinking of using the FEMA courses I have done to convert into "A" letter grades and utilize them to boost my Overall GPA. These courses, of course, will not fit into my required credits in my degree plan, however they may still be placed on the transcript and factored into the GPA total as a result.

So basically, can I be granted a letter grade for FEMA courses accepted by Clackamas?

I don't know how they would grade them. They are pass/fail, and you never find out what you scored anyway. Unless they just give you an A for passing it, but I don't think they would do that. Most likely it will be posted P/F. For TESC, they just list it as Non-course equivalency. Keep us posted about any other info you find.

I don't believe you will recive a letter grade, just a ross stated, only pass or fail.

I have been researching and it appears they would be listed a as a specific course on the transcript from Clackamas(I plan on doing this myself), after you complete the proper paperwork and pay the fees. How your school would list them, not sure - you need to ask, but I believe the would be listed in a corresponding manner with the course listed on the Clackamas transcript.

Best thing to do, call Clackamas and ask. Let us know what you find out.
