Will ACE evaluate my police academy license? I see several law enforcement academies that have been evaluated but nothing in Texas from what I can see.
Is it possible to send them a certified copy of my 6 month long police academy hours and have them evaluate it for possible college credits?

From what I have gathered so far on this forum and its sister site, ACE does not evaluate and/or recommend credit for individual training or education. They do evaluate and recommend credits for courses or training offered by institutions/organizations. I might be wrong though. But, if you are patient enough, someone who is more knowledgeable in this area would soon offer you some advice. One other way you may get credit for your Police training is to go the PLA route...

ACE is for organizations. The law enforcement academy needs to submit the training for evaluation. Getting ACE approval for college credit is a lot like getting accreditation for an institution or degree program. ACE charges a fee for this. My guess is that it would be kind of heft for an individual.
For an individual, you can either use your training to complete a PLA through LearningCounts.org or directly with the school or you can submit the certificate for evaluation by the school.
