I know there has been discussion here about the ASU Universal Learner Courses. I have begun testing the history course to see how everything works so I can better understand what they are doing and offering.
The signup process does take some time (a few days delay via email) and a $25 fee will be needed to continue if one decides to do so.
Currently testing: HST 102 Europe and the Mediterranean: Ancient and Medieval
So far there are many videos with some limited reading. The testing interface is easy to use, and the course does not seem difficult. ASU is a good school in my opinion, and I think this option would help some students.

Thanks for the quick summary in regards to the ASU UL course!
I have an unrelated question, it's in regards to your signature...
Did TESU authorize the BALS History concentration after you received the BALS Social Science?
Or are you doing a BALS Humanities option with mainly 'History' courses? Or is it a BA History?

TESU authorized the BALS History concentration after I received the BALS in Social Science. I'm almost done and need to find three more classes but I'm not in a rush.

TESU changed History to a Humanities area last year, so these 2 degrees won't conflict/duplicate.

Interesting, the reason I asked was exactly what I thought may or would happen... You just need to decide which degree you're going for. And from the looks of things, it may be a few quick courses for a BALS History if your post above indicates 3 more classes left. Other than that, you really need to decide if that would provide you the most ROI/Value in getting that second bachelors...

Looks like I paid the $25 fee too early before my ID was approved. So I was kicked out of the class and will need to start over. Not a lot of classes that help me but I'm hopeful this platform keeps improving and adding classes.

They were having issues with the website yesterday because I called tech support for my husband. He had issues trying to pay.

Seems ASU is having a few (growth?) issues. Problems reported here in regard to the 15-credit cert deal as well. Too big too fast? If you get a bad name in the market -- it's AWFULLY hard to recover. Some never do.

Do they give you a Physical College ID Card?

No ID, since you're not technically an enrolled student.
