I'm planning on taking Int. Accounting I&II, Cost Accounting, Applied Man. Accounting, and Advanced Accounting I over the next month and a half or so. I'll be taking Int. Accounting I and Cost Accounting through Straighterline (still not sure what I'll be using for Int. Acct. II), and Applied Man. Accounting and Advanced Accounting I through Study.com. I was wondering if there if there was a recommended order that I should take these in? I have a Guardian Scholarship until June 10 so I wanted to use that for Applied Man. Accounting and Advanced Accounting I. Would it be unadvisable to do Advanced Accounting before I do Int. Accounting?
Thanks!

I would do all of them at straighterline. I have used both. I was able to get done with Accounting 1 & 2 in less than week. I am about to take the final for accounting 2 and I have already earned credit no matter what grade I get on the final.

I have only taken accounting courses on Study.com. Here is the order I tried:
Intro to Managerial Accounting, Applied Managerial Accounting, Advanced Accounting and Cost Accounting. Most of these I finished in a week to two weeks. I did not think they were difficult. The courses vary in topic (meaning Financial vs Managerial accounting) so I do not think the order matters. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Study.com recently added Cost Accounting to their lineup, and they are in the process of adding Intermediate I & II as well.

I guess it all depends on which one is more for you and how you like to get things done, some say SL is cheaper/easier/faster, others not...
I would take a combination of the two. Take the courses that are available at each place by looking at their course load and quizzes/exams.
Some courses are available and others are not at each provider, create a list of what is offered and cross reference them...
For Accounting 101 and Accounting 102, it's a coin flip for either SL or Study.com, I would choose SL for speed of finish, Study.com for ease.
For SL, I would take the Managerial Accounting - ACC150 and Financial Accounting - ACC151
For Study.com, I would take Accounting 301: Applied Managerial Accounting and Accounting 302: Advanced Accounting

This is the order you should take accounting courses in (this is how I would do it to get the best "overlap")
1. Financial Accounting (Accounting I)
2. Intermediate Accounting I
3. Intermediate Accounting II
4. Advanced Accounting I
5. Applied Managerial Accounting/Cost Accounting
Best bet is to take what you can from Study.com on the scholarship (Advanced/Applied) then take SL Accounting I/II and hopefully Int I and II will be approved and you can do Int I/II and cost accounting back at study.com

I was a big promoter of Study.com's format, with many of course materials rolling over into other courses, making those courses much quicker to complete, until I found Straighterline.
Straighterline has the benefits of learning the material through real textbooks, albeit e-txtbook format, and being less stressful due to being able to score high enough not to rely on the final exam to pass the course.
