Just my 2 cents.
I hope this is not an indication of how well I will do on ethics then, as I planned on taking both the ECE and DSST exams.
Since you have to provide where the exams are supposed to go, would you always say (i.e) thomas edison as opposed to your real enrolled school? And since the Cleps are not graded, I wonder how that works?

I have never once entered an institution code when taking CLEP or DANTES. Have they made it so that you HAVE to do it now?
If not, I would do this: decline to state an institution as you take each individual exam; then pay $10 for them to send all your scores at once, whenever you are ready. This will allow you to pick and choose which exam scores are to be included on the CLEP and DANTES transcripts that actually get sent directly to your school.
This cuts your school out of the mix altogether if you have poor scores on any exams. It is not unethical to use this option, it is a legitimate process that CLEP and DANTES have chosen to make available to us.
Hope that helps,

I spoke to another advisor today at Excelsior, her name was Patricia, and she gave me completely opposite information and said that the Dantes Algebra does not count against me or my GPA as they won't accept it. That would only be the case for Excelsior exams.
I may just hold off sending the exams. I will talk to the the institution where I am testing tomorrow.
Thank you very much.
AND regarding the ethics, the excesior advisor suggested the same thing! I bought the ethics for dummies to be on the safe side for my future ethics tests.

Though I didn't take the EC Ethics exam the specific exam feedback was spot on the DSST Ethics in America exam. Don't get freaked out and you should do well, I have a tendancy to do that which makes the exam harder. So, deep breath, study, and do well.
