Advice on BS CIS Degree plan

Hey, I am an 22 year old international student starting from scratch with the help of study.com and Sophia, and after doing thorough research, I found TESU gives me the best opportunity to finish my degree cheaply and quickly in BS CIS  (UMPI doesnt offer tech degree). I have already planned out my degree plan and wanted to get a second opinion on it before moving forward with it. I tried contacting TESU regarding advising, but they said they cant until I get enrolled which brings me here.I have attached my degree plan, i wanna make sure im on the right path as Im starting from scratch.

That plan looks like you have way too many Study.com courses instead of Sophia, which would be much quicker and cheaper to do.

Also, you can take 5 TECEPs and 5 TESU courses to get the 30 RA credits needed for residency.

From a quick glance, you should maximize your credits using Sophia.org first and then Study.com, finally finishing the credits you want with TESU. You need to spend some time with reviewing posts, threads, and the degree plans on the WIKI. See my signature for the links, your spreadsheet is good but many recommendations of change are needed as per WIKI plans available to max cost, ease, speed.

Another possible path for the RA credits: My son completed several free classes via XAMK in Finland (Metropolia is another options) for the electives and to work up to the required RA credits. It was very quick and only required paying for the ACEI evaluation - less than $250 overall.

Does having too many Study.com courses cause a problem with transfer? as study.com has their course equivalency data, while Sophia doesnt. The reason I'm heavy on Study.com courses is because its guaranteed that TESU will accept them as of now, and it's easier to transfer from just one platform to TESU. What is your take on this? shed some knowledge.

There's no need to worry about how Sophia.org credits transfer to TESU - hundreds of members here have gone down that pathway and confirmed the results. To be sure, you should always ask academic advising at TESU to pre-plan the external credits you plan to take, whatever the source.
For many fields, Sophia is a better choice compared to Study.com. Their courses tend to be easier, faster, and cheaper to complete (though that's not always the case). Thus, we often advise people to start on Sophia and then move on to other sources like Study.com.
Whatever you end up doing, you're highly likely to need credits from multiple different sources in your plan. Yes it's a pain in the rear to transfer everything but that's how it is.

That's right, TESU is on the list of colleges that Sophia.org transfers to, it's cheaper, easier, faster for all the general education classes and electives, not just the electives alone. Study.com should be used for classes that can't be done at Sophia.org and those are the area of study or upper level requirements, etc. You should follow advice from senior members and/or moderators who have completed it this way and recommended the plans on the WIKI, we keep those pages updated regularly.

Sophia used to have an equivalency list for TESU, though now doesn't.

The cost per Sophia course is often only $10 to $20 on average, while you pay $100 per Study.com course. Study.com also limits you to only 5 courses per month.

With Sophia, you use Credly to transfer.  CMS learn, which is the qualitative skills requirement, also uses Credly. It's not any easier or harder to use Credly versus Study.com to transfer in credits.

You should do exactly what was recommended above by both senior members and moderators of the board... Please re-read the entire thread, and for extra help, you want to review this thread as well. To answer your question, in order to get access to advising and pre-plan, you need to be enrolled. That means you need to pay the application fee, and take a class. The cheapest option right now is to pay the $52 TECEP for Medical Terminology, you get 1 year of enrollment, unlimited academic advice, evaluations, and all the student benefits, and more...

Additionally, We don't work for anyone of those providers or institutions and spend our personal time volunteering, we want to help you the best we can, you need to help us help you by following advice. Please take the time to review some posts, threads, and the WIKI for additional details... it's great you're being pro-active in preplanning and all of this is on the forum & WIKI.
