IANAL but attempting to access Libgen while incarcerated seems like a particularly bad idea.

Yes, yes, yes. If you're not picky about editions, good quality textbooks are available for ridiculously low prices. I got a couple of my textbooks for $10, shipped. One, my database text, was a university library copy that appeared to have never been used at all.
