Alternative credit options for envioronmental science?

I have a friend exploring the option of an environmental science degree at TESU.

The degree seems to have a lot of specific course requirements.  Are there any good and inexpensive alternative credit sources for those credits?

You're referring to the BA Environmental Studies degree, in order to finish the degree, you should take the 16 residency credits and take the courses at TESU, the rest you can transfer them through ACE/Alternative credit options such as Sophia.org and Study.com, including the Bio I with lab, Chem I with lab, etc...

One thing to note is, 30 RA credits minimum, so it's 16 residency credits, plus at least 14 RA credits from a community college, ONU/TEL partnership, or TECEP/UEXCEL... I would get 31 credits as it's easier to find a 3 credit course than a 1 credit or 2 credit course... Good luck and have fun!

APU's competency-based Momentum program requires an AA/AS degree be transferred in to start - and then the remaining 60cr is done there, and it's all major coursework.

I don't think it's possible to complete the environmental science from TESU.

I was suggesting that they take individual courses -- not a degree from APU 
and this degree isn't a Momentum degree anyway

This is not a degree you can do via alt-credit - there just aren't enough courses to satisfy the requirements - you would have to take so many courses at TESU, it would cost a fortune.

Find another school with this degree that's cheaper, or else get a cheap BALS and then spend the money on a master's degree instead.
