What are my options? I haven't taken the dsst yet, but I need to do something soon and have it done by the end of July. I keep on studying for it, but nothing is really sticking.

It's a requirement for my HR degree at TESC, and I don't have enough time to take the class. If I fail the dsst, I was planning on trying the ece, and then possibly a tecep if they have it for this subject. Any suggestions for alternatives? Thanks!

Penn Foster college offers this course. Last time I checked, which was last month, it was ACE approved. It will cost you around 225.00 and it is self paced.

PF also provides you with the textbook for that rate, which you can resell once finished to recoup some cost (or cover the ACE transcript fee). It'll take about a week to get the book after you enroll, but you can get started immediately (the lesson guides are available in pdf form in the course module). The assignments are graded instantly, so you can plow through the material as quick as your schedule permits. The final is not proctored, so as soon as you reach it, start the test, upload your document, wait 2-3 days for grading, and it can go on the ACE transcript.
I don't advocate for PF in general but that course was a bargain, in my opinion.

Just to caveat on what the others have already said; the course you want from Penn Foster is called Financial Management. The course consists of 5 subject exams and a Final "Project" Exam. All of the exams have NO TIME LIMIT! You can take all the time you need to learn the information and find the correct answers. These exams are also NOT proctored, so you can go at your pace without waiting on the exams to get to your proctor. The only downfall of the course is that the Final "Project" exam is graded by an instructor. This can take up to 2 weeks for your final score. From there you can add it to your ACE transcript digitally through the ACE transcript website. Finally, just send the ACE transcript to your college to have it added to your Official College Transcripts from your University/College.
To Contact Penn Foster you can use 2 methods depending on your affiliation to the military. If you are a Military member then contact them via the Military number: 1-800-238-9554. If you have no affiliation to the military then you can use their workforce number: 1-800-233-02589. I am not sure if there is a difference in price based on Military status or not. I am active military and the cost per course was $225.
Good luck on your studies and I hope this helps!

I'm taking this Penn Foster course now and finished about half of it over the course of the day today. The other thing is that all the quizzes (not the final) are multiple choice (A, B, C, D) and you get to take the quizzes 2 times each and get the higher score of the 2 attempts. In my experience I only missed a couple initially each time so I went back figured out what I did wrong and took the quiz again thereby getting 100%. It is really super easy. The final test will arrive with your book so you'll know exactly what you are dealing with. I can't imagine there is a better way to go to earn college credit for Principals of Finance than this class.
Here is the list of Ace Approved Penn Foster Courses:
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training
'Financial Management' is on the list and currently approved. For a couple hundred bucks and a couple days work you could have your Principals of Finance requirements completed.

Thanks for all the info! I'm trying to finish in two months, and I have 3 cleps/dssts to go. I'm currently in my last TESC two classes, and studying for my final TECEP. I just want to get all my credits in before Oct 1st!
