Hey everyone!
I'm planning on taking American Government as my next subject for dual credits. I'm considering using Straighterline to get the credits, but I'm wondering if just taking the CLEP test might be a better option.
Has anyone taken this before that can give me a second opinion? I've heard the American Gov CLEP is fairly difficult, which is why I was originally looking into SL. Would love some perspective by someone who's done it before.
Thanks in advance!

I personally was able to knock out the SL course faster than it would have taken me to study for the CLEP test.

Great news, did you have any trouble completing it within a month? Ideally I could just sign up for a month of payment and cancel it

Yep, if that's the only course you want to take, you could sign up for one month. Don't forget to use coupon codes:

I think I completed the course in 5-7 days.

I took the class recently. I got a total of 89% on the class. The final was closed book, and I got a 68% on it. There's 4 exams, a mid-term exam and a final. If you get 100% on all the open-book exams, you can just click through the (proctored) final. It covers a lot of material. I'm not sure if I would have done as well trying to memorize all the data for a CLEP.
I'm having a difficult time getting through their English Comp courses. I have definitely preferred the classes with multiple choice exams over the courses where you have to wait for your assignments to be graded. I'll probably end up doing the DSST for English Comp II.
