Hi All,
I am trying to "study" for the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature exam.
I have reviewed some literary device terminology and taken the 50 question Practice Test in the 18th Edition of the CLEP Official Study Guide (scoring 31 of 50. I am just looking to pass this exam. English and Literature are definitely two of my weaker areas. Do you think I am ready to test?

Yes, you're ready. 31 of 50 is a great score, much higher than a pass, it's probably in the 60s. If you know literary terminology ok then you can't really study that much for interpreting passages. I found the REA book in this subject to be almost a complete waste of time for the actual exam. Either you get it or you don't and from the practice test it sounds like you do!
I have 18 traditional credits and 51 exam credits. I've passed Introductory Sociology 76, Introductory Psychology 68, A&I Literature 66, Principles of Marketing 76, Introductory Business Law 71, Social Sciences & History 67, DSST Drug & Alcohol Abuse 450, Biology 69, Principles of Management 70, Natural Sciences 64, Intro to Business DSST 70, Principles of Macroeconomics 67, Principles of Microeconomics 58.

Thanks for the input everyone.
I took two of the Peterson's tests today and scored 62% on both.
I'm not sure how that translates to the way that CLEPS are scored?

If you score more than a 50% on the practice test, you're ready.

Hi amozgirl,
Due to the nature of the Analyzing & Interpreting Literature exam, there are no flashcards for this one. However, the Specific Exam Feedback section will give you a lot of good information for how to study for this one.
