We live in Boston and our governer issued an Executive order yesterday banning non-emergency workers from driving. EVERYTHING is closed so we all have had snow days from work and school. The husband has been entertaining the kids building a snow fort so I can study - I think I'm almost ready for the Intro to Psych exam since I've spent pretty much all of yesterday and today studying between making bread bowls, pots of chili and clam chowder. Anyone else snowed in? Whatcha doin'?
I wish!!! I live in the Foothills of NC...we have only gotten an inch or so, this year, while the mountains have gotten a ton! Enjoyed weeding the raised beds and reading my garden books, today...this warmer weather is giving me garden fever!!! Hope everyone stays safe, up there! Blessings on your upcoming test!!!!
No, but we had big windstorms here in northern Virginia and this is what greeted me when I woke up this morning:

Fortunately the damage was minimal and removal of the tree was covered under home insurance. Still, it made for an interesting day...

I'm outside of Philly and everyone here freaks out when they call for snow. We got enough to cover the grass but nothing stuck to the roads. My job offers any closer the chance to stay at a hotel nearby during snow storms so they can open and not loose business to call offs. I was asked but working 20 hours in a call center in a 36 hour period sounded less then fun. I was fine with driving home and back. So I worked and studied for my accounting class. Can't wait for my first CLEP English!

Is Texas really that brutal in the summer? I always notice the temps are pretty high but being in New England we never get dry heat.

Was I ever lucky! I live in Northern Virginia, but was away to sunny QUEBEC when the storm came. I left before the storm hit and affected the airports or roads I'd be using. Quebec really didn't see anything, and everything was clear by the time I returned. Didn't even realized NOVA was affected until I say IrishJohn's picture. I would have said, "I dodged that bullet," but I'm trying to come up with a less evocative saying.
