Why For-profit and Non-profit Colleges Behave Differently

The stock market has been breaking records for years. Trump did almost nothing his first year, and the stock market still went up. The biggest factor is the low interest rates. People are still waiting for wages to increase. That's supposed to happen when there aren't enough workers. Anyway, that's not what this thread is about. The for-profit college sector started to become a problem in the early 2000s as online education grew in popularity.

When I went through the parole officer academy, we had regular and guest instructors. Several times, they would give us inaccurate information. Since I've worked in the CJ field for a long time and have studied it extensively, I could tell when they were wrong. I would wait until a break and tell them so that they could correct themselves later. The other trainees were usually clueless because most had never worked in CJ, and most didn't even study CJ or law in college. This is how it is at colleges. Students often don't know when they're not receiving a quality education.

I have had to correct a Harvard Professor once that he was not accurate on one issue, but I did do it in front of the class in a very tactful way.  Harvard professors are bright, but EE students often have way more real experience!

Sadly, young students often just get propaganda from poor instructors with personal agendas in many colleges.  I have attended a few that way.
