Long story short I need to raise my gpa a little so I'm looking to take additional courses at UMPI. So far I have taken

Constitutional Law
American Government
Vietnam Wars
Intro to Political Thought
Criminal Procedure
European Gov/ European Unions
Slavery in the U.S.
Composition II
Modern Political Thought
Oral Communications
Creative Decision Making

I plan on taking Marxism, Arab-Israel Conflict, Criminal Justice Ethics, Police and Policing, U.S. History I.

Ideally you guys could give me 4-5 more classes that aren't unrealistic to get an A without bending over backwards Smile

Basically, I don't recall which degree you're going for but if you need about 6 more courses, I would get another minor added and call that a day instead of randomly selecting courses, you would now have an extra minor to work towards. For example, if you just have a BAS or BLS with a Management minor, you can add the MIS or whatever that floats your boat.

Edit to Add: I looked more closely at the courses you have completed or about to do. You can get another minor in Political Science or whatever is closest to in History, or the Social Sciences.

I have all three of those minors already Smile

Don't know what degree you're going for or what you've completed. Looks like you like history courses so I would take as many of them as possible if that's what direction you're heading for. You've taken more than 10 courses at UMPI. How many courses do you need?

You know, you can complete your BAS or BLS with your minors, then come back after graduation if you need to bump the GPA up further, you can get another degree, say a BABA in another concentration of your liking, I would guess you'll have the bulk of it done, and will need to complete another 30 credits...

I finished my BAS I just need to keep raising my GPA for law school admissions. I only need a few more classes to make up for the bad grades I had years ago but not nearly enough to complete another major. Just looking for a couple easy As Smile

Taking more courses is a good option to raises the GPA... Having said that, it depends on the GPA for courses you currently have... Here's an example, if none of your course are a C or lower, taking more courses is the "best" option. However, if you have a C- or lower, I highly recommend completing the course at the institution such as the college you took the initial course (especially for D and failing grades), you'll be required to take MANY courses to just offset 1 failing course.

I don't having anything lower than a C- but in my case (applying for law school) retaking the course at the same institution I got my bad grade at wouldn't help since both grades would still be calculated in my overall gpa
