UMPI MAOL question with classes

Hey everyone!

On the route to finishing my bachelors at UMPI......I transferred in 2 MAOL courses from previous work the BUS 353 and BUS 440..... I was understanding these transferred in will apply to the MAOL but now I am being told they will need to be retaken at UMPI to have them transfer up to the MAOL.........Does anyone have first hand experience with what is correct?

BUS 335 is the other class that you haven’t taken or transferred in. I would defer to other who have taken 353 or 440 for recommendations.

I found BUS 440 to be quick and easy.

Basically, take all 4 of the classes that have an option to transfer into the MAOL, and you want to do that because you need a B+ to be able to transfer, a B or pass would not do. Just in case something happens and you get a B on a class, you have 3 others that will transfer into it... So that means, 6 classes towards the minors, 4 classes towards the MAOL. That's it!

Only 3 will be waived in the MAOL so you'll be repeating one of them.

That's correct, if you've transferred in the classes using Coursera, Sophia.org, Study.com or another ACE option, you'll have to repeat that class. I think it's a good deal as you're learning from a structured class with assignments, it's most likely similar in content but yet provides students with extra knowledge to fill learning gaps. Further to this, you're taking a similar class at the undergrad level for transfer into a graduate level program, you want to further prepare yourself for grad studies and this would probably be a better fit.
