For ACTFL: 9 of the credits should count toward part C (as humanities) but you'll still need 3 credits (1 class) each in social sciences and history.

got it. Thanks!

so for Part B:
  • ACTFL: 9 credits
  • either Macro/Micro economics (Sophia)
  • HS103 - History-Turning Points in Modern History 15th Century to Present (online Degrees)  .. will pick another course, apparently online degrees is not available for international students living outside of the US

If you're getting the BACS, you don't have to take Econ.

For the ACTFL, depending on how many credits you earn, anything over 9cr will go down to the Free Electives area.

For history, if you're going to take Sophia, you may as well just take US History there (either US History I or II).

Quote:FYI, if you plan to complete 2 degrees at TESU, I would suggest going for the BACS first but not graduating. Then complete the BSBA. Then graduate. If you graduate in between them, you would be required to complete 30 NEW credits toward the BSBA. This could be annoying and take longer.

For Software Engineering, there are two possible solutions, both of them currently untested. Saylor has an UL Software Engineering course and there is a SAS certificate that has been recommended for 3 UL credits in Software Engineering. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera We do NOT know if TESU accepts either one as being the same as CIS-351 or even if they accept them as UL.

For gen ed credits, you MUST fill parts A, B, & C with relevant courses. You cannot fill them with courses from part D. Check https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...ts_Roadmap to see your options. You can fill the electives with whatever you want, but it'll be easiest/fastest if you fill the electives with courses for your 2nd degree.

It looks like you're in the UK? If you're still there, you might want to see how far you are from a CLEP testing center. IIRC, there are 2 in the UK that are open to the public: one near London, one near Manchester. That could be an easy way to quickly test out of parts A, B, & C that aren't covered by quick Sophia courses. I think a couple of international students have reported success in getting & using ModernStates vouchers for CLEP exams, despite not being in the US.
Time is of an essence unfortunately, I need to graduate from BACS as soon as possible. If the degree plan mentioned above is correct, then i would need to register for 30-45 extra credits regardless, for the 2nd degree.  Indeed it will be annoying, but the second degree is just a potential bonus Smile

thanks for the Software Engineering options!

sadly I'm not in the US/UK. no CLEPS options for me Smile. not a big issue, as I'd rather have a quick course on Sophia/SDC i feel.

I forgot to mention above, I do speak Arabic. can I remotely test for that somewhere ? how many credits is that worth?

thanks a lot guys!

- Keep in mind if you don't graduate with both degrees at the same time the second degree requires that 'you must complete a minimum of 24 additional credits in the area of study/core beyond the date your most recent undergraduate degree was completed (conferred)'.  So you'll want to plan accordingly on what those 24 credits will be ahead of time.

So, it's best to either do 1 degree and be done with it, or to complete them both at the same time... generally, I recommend completing both at the same time, you need residency credits anyways so you can do a flat term for 12 credits and do the final two capstones together or something.
