BSBA in Marketing- Wiki link
#1
Hi there,

I was trying to find a degree plan for a BSBA in Marketing at TESC in the wiki. It looks like it should be this link but it seems to lead to a degree plan for a BSBA in Accounting:   https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks for your guidance.

That's the correct page. The only incorrect part was a couple of words at the top. This has been fixed.

Do you know if the Davar course listed as Marketing 101 is truly UL as listed on the wiki link?  https://www.davaracademy.com/business.html

Scroll down to the bottom of that page. Click the + on the box that says equivalencies. You can see that Davar's "MAR-101 Introduction to Marketing" comes to TESU as "MAR-301 Introduction to Marketing" which would make it upper-level. You should be fine taking the Davar course for the AOS and (for instance) the OnlineDegree course for the business core because the OnlineDegree one is LL.

This is correct, but if you want to be super-safe, and assuming you're enrolled, you can ask advising to verify what it transfers as, and pre-plan it in your evaluation.

If my daughter has already taken the business core Marketing using CLEP,  would the other course work in addition for UL Marketing (minor?)  That is what I should have asked.

They still should not overlap. The CLEP shows as coming in as MAR-201 Principles of Marketing while the Davar course is MAR-301.

It would be a good idea to ask, yes, but (knowing TESU advising) I feel like you've got a good chance of being told no even if the answer is yes. Possibly yes when the answer is no. That's definitely something to be aware of when trying to get an answer from them, unfortunately.

When you ask TESU advising questions, you need to make it very black and white, and not ask them dependent questions.

"Does Davar Academy's course MAR-101, Introduction to Marketing, transfer in as MAR-301, and if so, can you pre-plan it in my AOS?"

Do not ask questions about the CLEP, do not ask more than one question per email/ticket, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.
