I am signing up to take a BYU Independent Study Course (I am needing some UL credits for my history degree at TESC). Has anyone, here, taken one? If so, are you locked down to a schedule or can you move through it, at your own pace? If I wanted to finish before 1 year, could I? Do you have deadlines?
Thanks!

I've taken several BYU-IS courses, although I haven't taken any history.

You may progress at your own pace, although most require you to use at least 5 weeks, and a few courses restrict you from submitting certain assignments within 1 wk of each other (usually 1 or 2 assignments in the whole course). There are deadlines, but those are very generous and written as if you would complete the course using all of 1 year...so I've never had problems with that. HTH!

16 CLEPs, 6 DSSTs, 12 FEMAs, and a handful of B&M lab science courses
120/120 credits DONE :hurray:
