(CLEP) Social Sciences & History, Doubling Back and Taking Constituent Exams
#1
I'm going to try to take the CLEP exam, Social Sciences and History (6 credits), on the 4th. I've already taken actual coursework in introductory macro/micro economics, and passed both courses. My intention is to study the InstantCert entries on the following:
U.S. History I: Early Colonizations to 1877 (3 credits)
U.S. History II: 1865 to the Present (3 credits)
Introductory Psychology (3 credits)
Introductory Sociology (3 credits)

I'm fairly strong in US History and have a good basic knowledge of psych. So what I'm going to try to do is on the same day I take the Social Sciences and History exam, see if I can work in US History Part I and Part II. Then soon after double back and take Intro Psych and Intro Soc. Do others think this (blitzing InstantCert) will give me a passing score on "Social Sciences and History," and enable me to scoop up 18 credits in I hope less than two weeks? Thanks.

[SIZE="3"]If you know each of the subjects somewhat (as in know it, but not every detail), then you will be fine for SS and History. I took this one recently and had just taken History II the week before. That was the BIGGEST help, since History is a very large part of the exam. And, also, there is quite a bit of detail from History II in SS and History. But there's sociology, psychology and quite a bit of government in there too. I had taken sociology, psychology, macro/micro, and History I too, so I just had to learn some government stuff and review. If you have a basis for these subjects and review with IC, you should be ok. IC will sort of clue you in as to what you need to study more of. 18 credits in less than two weeks would be INCREDIBLE! Smile

Go for it!
