So, my wife has decided to try and complete her BA finally. COSC is the only school that has the program she wants (Child and Youth Development). Anyone have experience taking it with COSC?
How is COSC with taking in ALEKS? And how are their actual classes, my wife probably won't be able to do CELP/DSST/etc (terrible test taker, too afraid to do it).
Any other information I should know before she gets started? English is not her first language, but conversationally she's basically fluent. She's going to start by taking some courses on base, ENGL101 (well, UMUC calls it WRTG101) and others before moving to COSC.

They are fine with ALEKS, though will likely require College Algebra as the minimal.
If your a Connecticut resident their tuition is actually pretty good, if your not residents it's rather steep.
LSU, BYU, and my favorite CSU ( Colorado State University-Pueblo) are about half the price for individual classes and COSC will accept the credits. Straighterline is a partner to, some real deals out there.
There are only 2 courses that have to be taken at COSC, the cornerstone and the capstone. Everything else can come from elsewhere. The cornerstone was a bit tedious and labor intensive (lot of writing) but it wasn't really difficult. The Instructor was actually an excellent guy and really tried to present a good class. I start my capstone in 5 days, I don't know exactly what to expect but doubt its gonna be a killer.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Hi there! I enjoyed my Capstone course, which for the business concentration is called Strategic Mgmt 499. It was only 8 weeks long and went by so quickly. I thought that the amount of writing and reading was manageable. Everyone there was talking about how challenging the class was, but it really was not that bad as long as you stayed on top of the assignments. The textbook was very interesting and the group work was fun for the most part.
I have been happy at COSC overall and would recommend them to someone who is interested. My advisor has been great and their customer service is good too. I would like to confirm what Rebel100 said - they will accept ALEKS College Algebra and nothing lower. I ended up doing the College Math Clep, which was easier and worth 6 credits.
