Hello folks,
I hate to clutter the forum with this, but has the Charter Oak website been down for anyone else? I'm desperately trying to open a credit registry and haven't been able to access their website for about a day. It does not appear to be down for maintenance, and no one is answering my emails. I'm hoping someone here might have some idea of what's going on.
Much obliged

It was down for everyone. They posted about the problem on their Facebook page. If you ever want to know if a site is down, check here:

BTW, it is back up now.

This has apparently affected more than just the site. My advisor said she was having issues and delays per-registering me for my summer courses.

Everything was down. I'm going to assume they use VoIP because their phone system was down as well.

There was a vulnerability in OpenSSL announced today, so they may have taken everything down to patch their servers.

I heard about Heart Bleed earlier this morning. Something about encryption issues and security issues. I didn't think about that being the reason their site was down. That's probably a good call.
