I believe the requirement is 10 years time in service rather than 10 years post undergraduate degree. Military.com and its papers do a horrible job of explaining policy and use scare tactics to sell papers. Just about every front cover is something talking about cuts or possible cuts.

That said, I would not be surprised to see far more education cuts coming. Many people forget that military benefits are simply a recruiting and retention tool. These benefits don't come into existence because the government values its military members and veterans. They are put in place to keep a steady flow of recruits coming through the door. Now that the ops tempo is slowing, these programs are no longer needed. If the military is forced to choose between putting money in big defense contractor pockets or providing good benefits for the troops, they will choose defense contractors every time. The troops don't finance political campaigns.

TESC 2019 - 21 Post-bachelor accounting credits

It is 10 years in service, but that still sucks. A lot of my military students have e-mailed me with questions so we had to seek official clarification on that matter. Army is so different from the USAF!!
