Hello everyone, I saw on this forum that SL grades show up as letter grades on the transcripts frm Charter oak, does anyone know if this is true of study.com and Saylor as well? I am getting a degree to teach English abroad, and would like to have the option to get into a masters program in Canada in a few years. The MA program I'm looking at requires a 3.0 GPA for the last 60 credits earned, would SL, study.com, Saylor, etc, be reflected in letter grades on a transcript from COSC?
I was initially looking at TESU, but if I could hand over a transcript that didn't say transfer for all my classes that would be preferred.
Thanks for all your help. This forum is amazing.

If the Saylor transcript has no letter grades or percentages, then there is no way for COSC to issue grades. SL sends transcripts directly to schools with grades on them. Does Study.com do this? If they only send scores to ACE, then there will be no grade.
Regardless, these are all listed as transfer credits. COSC does not launder credits.

Your masters degree from any Canadian University or University College won't accept anything from ACE/NCCRS at all.
There were 4 exceptions, there U of T (Toronto) accepted 60 credits, Thompson Rivers University, Lethbridge, and some private college.
Unfortunately, that has changed, NONE of those 4 actually accept anything when I made an inquiry, it went up to the director at TRU.
Anyways, there's a new list this year and those 4 fell off the list... but a new set of 5 came in from Canada, all on the WEST Coast (BC).
All in all, you should consider completing a degree from a US institution instead. Many colleges/universities that are cheaper/faster/easier.
Some are competency based as well. My suggestion is, find a degree when you're 90-100 credits into your Bachelors.
Update: Further to that, most masters programs look at the final 60 credits, most people transfer their LL and don't care about the GPA.
If you really need to take a look at that, you should consider non ACE/NCCRS credits as most if not all are non-gpa, but it will cost you.

I went ahead and called the COSC registrar, no reason to wonder.
Any ACE or NCCRS approved credit that comes from the provider with a grade will give you a grade. SL is an example, she couldn't think of others off the top of her head, but I'm going to poke around and see if I can find a few others for my own knowledge.
All ACE or NCCRS credit that comes over on your ACE or NCCRS transcript is just credit. HTH!
EDIT to add: COSC has an English Comp pass level of 73% required to issue credit. ACE, however only requires 70% to approve it to your transcript. COSC's own policy of not reviewing grades/% off an ACE transcript means this is something they might not enforce.

I already knew this because it's been this way for years, so I didn't need to ask. They gave the same answer I gave. My only question is whether or not Study.com issues transcripts directly; that was not answered. There are no grades on the ACE transcript, so the transcript would have to come directly from the school with a grade on it. NCCRS does not issue transcripts at all.
Just to reiterate what I said earlier, COSC is not going to launder the credits. The source will be on the transcript.

**I** was the one wondering, but I don't think anyone is asking about credit laundering.
