What do you think about this?

I've been lurking on the forum for quite awhile. I found out about CLEP testing when I started homeschooling one of my girls in March. I'm hoping to have my 15 year old and 13 year old daughters test out of a bunch of classes and get their BS from either TESC or COSC. I'm actually thinking about doing it myself too! Smile

I also have a 20 year old daughter who has been taking classes at Santa Rosa Junior College, in California. She's wondering why I didn't tell her about CLEP testing when she was younger. If only I had known!

So now I'm wondering how close my oldest is to having a Bachelors degree (in whatever is fastest but she does like business a lot). If someone could take a look at the classes she has so far, I'd really appreciate it.

She's pretty far away, but the good news is that it can be done relatively quickly if she wants a general business degree and is disciplined.

Send her transcripts into TESC and pay the 75 dollars for an eval.
She could probably finish a BSBA in 1 year of testing and a BALS in a little less.
I would recommend buying her the management and marketing CLEP books and having her read those and take those tests ASAP. This will help her understand if she has an interest in business and those classes will be accepted at her current college.
Don't stress too much too early about all of the details. Get her and yourself for that matter into some books and start studying. If you keep your head down and stay focused you will have a bunch of credits before you know it.
