Cheapest Math Classes Available
#1
Anyone got any idea where I can get math classes on the cheap? I already am planning to use SL for Calc I and Calc II and Stats. I'm looking for the cheapest possible sources for Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Calc III and Differential Equations? Math history would also be nice. I plan on transferring to TESU. Anyone got any info it would be nice. I tired searching the forum but most of the math discussions seem to be anti-math and looking for the easiest. I don't mind semester based classes. Thank You!

So that looks like Calc III for in the neighborhood of $400. Linear Algebra would be about $450.

These are community college classes, so TESU might bring them in as lower level. Would this matter?

https://ce.fresno.edu/independent-studies/mat-912

Those last two are intended for teachers, but it's math history, so the content should be fine. They are also labeled with a math prefix and are graduate level, so they should come into TESU as upper level, although this has not been tested.

Actually, the non-resident cost for the Great Basin classes is higher during non-summer terms, so it would be higher.

@eriehiker For the GBC courses I see they are like around $50 per credit for internet only courses for non-residents LL can you confirm!? Only the proctoring I'm worried about.

I dont mind if they are LL they are for am ASNSM and honestly I just want the knowledge. Thanks! I'll check these out!

The $50 per credit is in addition to the internet only fee per credit. So that is about $150 per credit for the below 300 classes. That would make Discrete Math $450 and Calc III $600. Or you could wait until next summer and take them for $300 and $400. That kind of sucks, but the price on the discrete math class is still good.

These seem okay. I'm dont know if I'll sign up for fall though. I'll wait to see if I can find a better deal. Thanks!

Westcott has Calc III for $544, Linear Algebra for $569, and Number Theory or Abstract Algebra for $973.

APU has everything you want and more, as they have a math major - it's about $810/course, and their courses all seem to be 3cr which is nice considering it's cheaper that way.
