Do the Peterson Pratice tests hit spot on for the Clep test for College Algebra? I thought I had read a couple of posts stating they did not need their calculator when they went to take the exam. I know I also read not to make it bigger than it is HAHAHA!
Basically, I am trying to figure out if taking the Petersons pratice tests will give me a good idea when I am ready for the test. I just don't want to jump before I am ready. I have to have this test out of the way before 8/20. If (God forbid) I don't pass the test I need to enroll in a class and that is the start date for the classes at the community college.

Hi never2late-
I took this test awhile ago and posted some feedback on it.

Both my husband and I found the Peterson's practice tests to be easier than the real thing. We used the REA Book and found it to be on target. Hope that helps.

Thanks Dawn.
Your post was actually one of the ones I was using for my studies. There is a wealth of information here!

I did not use the Petersons practice tests, I used REA and found them to be a good indicator of how the exam would be. I do not believe I used the calculator for the REA exams or on the actual CLEP exam. I do not remember needing one. I think I scored around a 56 or so on the REA exam and then received a 55 on the actual CLEP exam.

I found the Petersons practice tests a better guage than the REA book. But again, it all depends on the test you take. I used both to prepare for that test and found both resources valuable to a passing test score!
