I am prepping to take the College Mathematics exam and was wondering if someone would advise me whether just working through the IC flash cards is enough or should I study from other resources as well?

I was studying for this and the ACT at the same time & I used the CliffsQuickReview books. They are really helpful, particularly if the material isn't new to you, just rusty. The website has a lot, too: Math Homework Help for Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Statistics - CliffsNotes
The thing I remember most from this test is logarithms. There were a lot. Also, take the Peterson's practice tests, here's how to take them free: Free Practice Clep Tests! - Free-Clep-Prep.com Also check out his super helpful overview of topics: College Mathematics CLEP Free Study Guide! - Free-Clep-Prep.com And do a forum search!

Thank you so much for these helpful tips. When are you planning to take your exam?

In my particular exam there was one log question, and it was easy. Am I the only person that did all this math in high school?

LOL OE800_85.. everybody does this stuff, just not everyone remembers. I graduated in 1993 and since my high school only required a total of 12 math credits, I took one year of Algebra in my freshman year and a half a year of Geometry as a sophomore. Math was not cool for girls and I was more interested in flirting with the cute student teacher that I had for geometry in 10th grade than actually learning. I got an A, but for some reason don't think I learned any geometry lol ![]() @dacabbie - Have you gone to the specific feedback forum? There are a ton more great suggestions there. My big trick was using youtube lectures to teach me concepts that I couldn't remember. It's easier to hear someone explain it than to try to figure it out on your own. The great thing about youtube is that if you think a particular professor is boring, just move on. Especially with the more common topics, there are bound to be hundreds of explanations out there.
