Thanks to those who have replied to my other post. I'd like to know which of these two books would be better to supplement IC flashcards & Peterson's practice tests, & where to find them:
1. Review for the CLEP General Mathematics Examination by Comex systems
2. The Princeton Review - Cracking the Clep 5th edition
I'd greatly appreciate feedback, as I'm looking to take the exam the firstweek of May. I plan to study at least 2 + hours a day 'till then, and have recently taken a basic college math course, & some elementary algebra. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Regards,
J.S.

I would use the comex, I found it to be very comprehesive.

Thanks. Do you know if it only covers math, or does it have other material, such as for the Intro. to Sociology? I've also heard the CLEP Official Study Guide is very realistic.

I used both, but the Comex was by far the best.

Comex puts out a separate study guide for each individual clep exam. However, Comex only provides study guides for the following clep tests:
- Social Sciences / History
- College Mathematics
- Humanities
- English Comp
- Natural Science
- Principles of Management
- Introductory Business Law
They also provide guides for the GED, SAT, and other tests.
As far as sociology, the social sciences/history guide has a section on sociology, but not too much info. Also, the CLEP Official Guide only provides sample questions; there is no review of the material whatsoever.
Godspeed!
