New "Hidden" item---Certificate?! And the second major eligible for BAS/BLS

So basically, you can add a certificate to your degree plan, and certificate=minor. The same credits as a minor are needed to complete a certificate. You'll get an independent certificate, and your diploma won't show your minors (In my case, that's Project Management), even if you're taking BAS/BLS. (Don't quote me on that, I'm the geniea pig too)

Also, you CAN ADD a second major even if you're taking BAS/BLS. You don't have to wait for it to be conferred; re-register for a dual degree. You can do 2 majors (If Applied Science/ Liberal Studies is counted as a "major") simultaneously. You'll get 2 diplomas. (Am I the only one who is finding out this?)

Can I add a BLS in Business Adminstration?  Where do you do that in MaineStreet?

How do you add a certificate? Is there a list of certificates or just Project Managemet? Can you add more than one certificate? Where do you add that in MaineStreet?

You can add a certificate, just ask your academic coach and they'll add it for you. As for BLS in Business Administration, there is no such major, cause you "majoring" in Liberal Studies, you can only minor in Business Administration. But, you can add a BA in Business Administration to your program, which you don't have to wait your current degree to conferred and reapply for a BABA. And, you must add a concentration to your BABA program, it is their policy... Hope it helps...

Thank you, I only have 10 courses at UMPI and many of my business courses earned at Sophia were transferred as electives so I would have to take more courses to receive the BABA. Is there a way to add a 2nd minor to my BLS?

As far as I know, there are no limits on minors; you can have as many minors as you want.

I was wrong. These are the only certificates available, but not all courses are offered on YourPace. You'll have to study them elsewhere and transfer the credits.

Many of the offerings from UMPI can be transferred in (minors for example), as long as you've got classes elsewhere that meet the transfer requirement of the classes. It's cheapest, easiest, fastest, if the classes are available in the Your Pace platform already, but for those that aren't, and you have the classes transferred in, you just need to email advising/coach to add the minor to your program.
