Sophia Calculus!
#81
I took precalculus after calculus.
There are still some things in calculus that I couldn't / can't figure out, and just had to guess everytime one of those questions came up.

You don't need precalculus or any prestudy to start Calculus.

With SL you can plug and chug 1/2 of the questions using CAS solver calculator. But the other 1/2 you have to learn, which is tough.

Sophia, I think it is better because they teach you Calculus in smaller bite-size chunks. Just for fun, I plan on taking Sophia's Calculus and seeing if I can get through it with my SL Calculus knowledge. By fun, I mean about as much fun as stripping naked and jumping into a thorn bush. There is a hidden database of Sophia Calculus questions I did which weren't too hard compared to SL.

Calculus is often considered a gatekeeper course for engineering students with a high DFW rate. You can easily burn up 200 hours+ studying Calculus and still fail.

The best analogy I can come up with is this course is kind of like learning a foreign language. You can get in and get out of it learning only the basics, or you can spend hundreds of hours trying to reach the holy grail of fluency.

For me, I'm not going to be using Calculus much in my career, so I'm happy only to learn the very basics, pass, and move on with life.
