Cosc Woes
#1
Hi guys

I sent in my application to COSC and TESC recently after much apprehension and debate.

Well I heard back from COSC today that IN ADDITION to the ECE transcripts that I already sent them, they want the OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS IN A SEALED ENVELOPE from my university in Pakistan:eek: .

Hello:mad: - I thought that this is what I paid ECE $164 to do, ie evaluate my degree for admission to US colleges. The ECE transcipts have been accepted by two B&M colleges here in the US. So WHY is COSC requiring me to go thru this hassel now?

BTW I asked the lady if I can cancel my application -since the evaluation has NOT YET taken place and GUESS WHAT??
No luck on that either. It says on the application that it is a NON REFUNDABLE $75 fees. I knew that when I was going in but com'on this is pure headache for me. Please HELP!
Any advice on how to go about this. I might as well just have applied to TESC since they are fine with ONLY the ECE transcripts.
Thanks for letting me vent

as much as it be a hassle getting the university of Pakistan transcript, they usually need the original transcript just as a comparison of the results ECE sent them. Like for record keeping purposes. try not to look at it as a bad thing.

COSC is a very helpful school overall. I'm sure that this is a matter of policy for them. It may be that since they are in a different region for accreditation from EC and TESC, they have to do things a different way. Or perhaps Connecticut's state university system requires things to be done that way.

Please don't sell them short as a viable option over this matter. The college is truly small (I've been there in person), and they have always treated me as a student, never a customer. That's a feeling I didn't get from the other non-traditional schools that I looked at.

If it matters to you, they accepted as many credits as I hoped they would, and encouraged me to take exams rather than courses for some remaining subjects. How's that?
Master of Management, Cambridge College, 2011. 4.00 GPA.
BS in Business Administration, Charter Oak State College, 2009. 75 semester credits earned by exam, 45 in the classroom. 3.91 GPA.
AS in General Studies, City University of Seattle, 1999. 50 quarter hours earned by exam, 40 in the classroom. 3.95 GPA.
