You don't have to mention that you're asking for yourself, your son, or anyone in particular. Just stick to the bare minimum of facts required to provide enough information for them to answer your question.
In other words, "will the study.com course ____________ fulfill the oral communication requirement?"
There's no need to go into any more detail than that.
I think the question was being asked was "will TESU answer my questions if I'm not an enrolled student?", which is not a bad question to ask. The answer is, probably not. But it certainly can't hurt to try.
I have found, even as an enrolled student, that they don't always just answer the dang question anyway. Like if I ask "does course XYZ count towards requirement ABC" they will answer "you already have that requirement filled." Yes, I know that, I'm just asking a question, why can't you just answer it?!? Drives me crazy! Sometimes I have an urge to apply under a false name with no credits, sign up for a TECEP, and then ask as many questions as I can come up with, just to get some actual answers!

Well it still cannot hurt to ask. If they refuse to answer, s/he can come back here and say so, and I (or anyone else) who is enrolled can ask on their behalf. If they do answer, but not directly (I've had this happen as well) just ask again and include a "please answer the question as asked" request. I've had to do this myself once or twice, as you're right, they seem really keen to answer the question they think you mean rather than the one you've literally asked.

Straighterline is a solid option for for TESU. My daughter is still developing her voice & presentation style - felt Straighterline was a nice comfortable course to practice. After recording videos for Straighterline, she was inspired to make more and has now done a couple fun cooking videos with her sister:

Episode Two[/URL]
Their goal is to drop a new one a week.

Thanks @AngelaP! Super proud. The girls get their skills from my wife who is my archnemesis because her cooking makes it hard to stay in shape! Now with my daughters establishing their own skills, I've all but raised the white flag at this point! Fortunately, beach runs balance out most of the damage
