Is there a way to delete your post / string?

I saw how to edit it, but not delete it.

Any help is super appreciated!

For whatever reason, the powers that be here don't allow deletions. You can edit the post and replace the contents with a minimal post.

This has become one of my oddly favorite quirks about Degreeforum. There has to be some interesting back story to why this is the rule. It has no connection to you until there's the notice of the spelling error that is locked to you FOREVER!!!!! You just have to turn away and Let It Go!!!

yes, as someone who has setup a handful of somewhat-popular niche forums (relatively, at least), it's definitely the default.

i also don't like changing this default too much, because it can really fragment discussion when you miss out on a bit of context. and i'm a completionist, so i don't want too much history erased

other forums don't even allow revision after 10 minutes.
