Does this plan need tweaking?
#1
I can't get a straight answer from anyone at Ashford about what will transfer in as what, except for my ACHS classes & SL courses, because they have partnership agreements.  However, they do talk about taking ACE credits & about TECEPs, so I'm operating on the assumption that they will accept things in a roughly similar manner to the Big 3.  The cap on transferred-in credits toward a bachelor's degree is 90 credits.  This is the current plan; I'd love to know if anyone sees any glaring holes.

GENERAL ED (Competencies)
Ethics: 3ch -- SL Business Ethics*
Communications I (Eng 101): 3 ch
Communications II (Eng 201): 3 ch -- (See notes below.)
Communications III: 3ch -- SL Introduction to Communications*
Critical Thinking: 3ch -- Critical Reasoning TECEP
Information Technology: 3ch -- SL Information Technology Fundamentals*
Mathematics: 3ch -- Saylor Principles of Statistics (ACE-approved via ACP)
Mathematics Prerequisite: 3ch -- (See notes.)

GENERAL ED (Subject Areas)
Cultural & Aesthetic Awareness: 3ch -- Shmoop Lit in the Media
History: 3ch -- SL Survey of World History*
Humanities: 3ch -- SL Intro to Religion*
Literature: 3ch -- Shmoop Bible as Literature
Political Science: 3ch -- Study.com American Government
Science: 6ch -- (See notes.)

FREE ELECTIVES -- 35 ch
More than covered by remaining ACHS transfer classes.

*These are specifically designated as transferring in with these equivalencies.

Notes:
Communications & Science -- I have ENG 101 & 201, but I tested out of them at ACHS.  Ashford has an articulation agreement with ACHS, but is saying they won't transfer these.  I haven't been able to clarify whether that's because they're test credit or because the registrar was under the mistaken impression they were transferred to ACHS and would be looking for them on another transcript.  So the plan is to enroll with the assumption that they're simply confused and if, after enrollment, I can't clarify and get them to accept them as-is, to see if they'll let me present them as a portfolio.  (I tested out of these classes by writing the final papers, so I have the papers, as well as the grades and rubric notes from the instructors.)

Science is a similar scenario.  The science requirement is 4 hours of science that includes a lab, or 6 hours of science without.  I have one anatomy & physiology class (3ch) that transfers as-is.  I have two others I tested out of, so they aren't transferring them.  I also have Chemistry of Aromatherapy, which they're calling a free elective, but I think I should be able to push for them to acknowledge that, one way or another, I have another 3 hours' worth of science.  If not, I'll probably take a Study.com genetics course.

Math Prereq -- Honestly, I'm rather confused by this.  My understanding is that this would be necessary if you're taking all the general ed at Ashford, and don't meet the criteria to enroll in whatever course will meet the math requirement.  I think if you already have the math requirement met, it's not necessary.  The advisors I've spoken to seem to be under the impression that's probably so, as well, but no one seems to be able to tell me with confidence whether that's the case.

ETA: In case it matters, the only other courses I have which may be relevant to specific requirements are Psychology 101, which transfers as Pysch 101, but satisfies a general ed requirement I don't need (it's integrated into my particular major's required course list), and an hour each of applied voice and applied violin, arguably Cultural & Aesthetic Awareness but not comprising 3 hours total. Everything else from ACHS is explicitly specified to transfer in as "free elective."
