ENG 211 Professor

[itsdonye]

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone can help me find a former UMPI professor who taught ENG 211 – Introduction to Creative Writing online.

I don’t remember her name, but she was also a poet and was incredibly encouraging about my writing.

I’m now finishing my first book and would love to find her so I can send her a copy and thank her for inspiring me.
Does anyone know who may have taught ENG 211 online in 2023?

Yourpace? I think John J. Zaborney, Denise Frusciante, and Araminta Matthews all taught that course in 2023. Could be wrong.

Edit: Looked at my coursework. I enrolled and graduated in Summer 1 2023. I took HUM 103 with Frusciante and remember 211 was taught by another professor. So probably Araminta Matthews?

Thank you! This is really helpful.

I had Araminta Matthews that summer for that course. For the free verse section of that course, she liked my submissions so much that she begged me to contact the group that runs Upcountry (the school's journal that is published annually). I had a couple of submissions that made it in that year. Contrary to popular belief, she is not a bad professor at all and I thoroughly enjoyed her course. Then again, I love writing too amongst other hobbies. She even taught a course on vampires.
