Capella University Flexpath Masters program $2379 (with student referral code - just message me if you need my name for 20% discount scholarship off your first semester) - They offer MBA, MS Human Resources Management, Masters of Health Administration, MS in Psychology, and MSN.

That price point caught my attention. When I pulled up their Flexpath courses though, I saw "$3,075 per 12-week billing session" and three typical prices for different speeds of study:

$12,300, ACCELERATED PACE, 10 months
$18,450, TYPICAL PACE, 15 months
$27,675, SLOWER PACE, 23 months

I assume the $2,379 price point is for a single, discounted term, not an entire degree?

If you complete the degree in one term (12 weeks), you have to pay for only that term. Newdegree's pricing for Capella and UMPI assume finishing the degree in one term, with a referral code. UMPI's term is only 8 weeks, so Capella may be more doable. But not everyone can speedrun a degree.

Capella puts those various speeds for transparency after settling a lawsuit by students who said Capella had misrepresented completion times to them. The Accelerated Pace is given as 10 months because very few (almost no) students complete a degree in one term. People on this board are exceptions, not representative; we are far more obsessed with degrees and degree completion than the average person pursuing one.

I would say, 2000 usd for a NA degree. I won't do that. In coursera, there is MBA from india costs 2300 usd.

Are you talking about the OP Jindal MBA? I am interested in applying, but I saw there is a cheaper version of the same degree on Upgrad. I don't know what's the catch.

I am considering Capella for the MS in analytics.it looks like they don't have this one as flexpath, but I get a good price through Avon. Max I would pay is $5250 per year, if I did all 4 quarters (I usually skip here and there).  Plus I get $1500 reimbursed each year through my employer.

Yes, you could do the MBA in one term. I knew someone who did the Master's in Psychology in 23 days. It all depends on how fast you can do the work.

I would amend that to say *some people* can do the MBA in one term, but *your* mileage may vary. Capella gives those estimated times to completion on its website for a reason, and even the shortest estimate is several terms because the percentage of students who finish in one term is miniscule. For example, completing the master's in psych in 23 days means writing one or two properly APA-cited and formatted papers every day. Some people can do that; most cannot.

I could not do an MBA in one term. I lack the focus, motivation, time, and desire. I like to take my time. I turn in everything at the last possible moment so that I can look it over a hundred times before hitting submit.

Everyone is looking out for deals, sometimes CBE options work to those who can benefit from it, other times, it may cost more due to commitments and other things happening in life. For example, I'll use myself, I was thinking it would take just 1 session to do the UMPI MAOL, but it took me two. Look at what you need/want and make sure you have enough energy, time, etc to complete it accordingly.
