Hey guys I want to take Business Policy Capstone class from EC. I am almost done with my PFC Associates in Business. I will probably go for my bachelors at Excelsior however I might end up going to a different school for the degree.
My question is: can I take the Business Policy (Business Strategy) class from Excelsior even if I am not an admitted student? If that is the case, do they require me to send them transcripts to show I have the pre-reqs they ask for? or they just trust my word?
Thank you
Perico

While I don't have personal experience with this, its my understanding from what I gleaned from my advisors that you'll have to provide transcripts as proof of the pre-reqs. And you should be able to take the course as an non-admitted student.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully

I took the class before taking Finance, Ethics or Organizational Behavior...
The bigger question here may be what the school you intend to get your degree from expects. Excelsior (in my opinion) is very generous in where they take credits from. They've since changed their policy so that the capstone must be taken through them.
I'm sure that there are many other schools with similar rules.

Did you take it as an enrolled Excelsior student or as non-degree seeking?
I have taken Accounting I and II, Economics I and II, Intro to Biz, Principles of Management, Marketing.. Ethics.. Biz Math and a whole bunch more business classes that I cant remember right away. Do you think that would be enough?

As an enrolled Business student.
I think that you could pass the class with what you've taken. It's 11 weeks and goes through things step by step. There is work involved. It's not a cake walk but it is very straightforward. With application you complete much of the work very quickly and then just keep up to date with the online discussions.
I wanted to take the TECEP but EC changed the rules on me. In the end my employer covered the cost so it worked out for me. I'm no longer in a rush for the degree so I am focusing on one test at time.

I want to enroll and take the class for less. My fear is that coming from Penn Foster my adviser wont allow me to take more PF classes to fulfill requirements (I estimate about 70 credits of my degree are going to come from PF via ACE)
that is why I have not enrolled yet and I am still a bit dubious. What do you think?
