Fail SDC
#1
Ok so I am nervous about taking my first SDC exam and wanted to know a few answers first: 1. Is 70% the minimum you need to pass the whole course or is that what you need to pass the final exam? 2. If you fail the final exam during all available attempts  can you continue to retake the exam until you pass or do you have to retake the whole course (including the quizzes), or do you just have to accept that you cannot pass that course and move on to another course?

70% for whole course. 210 points out of 300.
You can take the exam up to 3 times. If you need a retake, you have to wait at least 3 days. No, you don't redo the whole course. Just study again.

This article from SDC should have a few more details if you don't pass https://study.com/academy/popular/how-to...-exam.html

The "3 times limit" is on another part of their FAQ.
and if you haven't seen this part about how to do the proctored exam, well, I found it helpful

70% is the whole course. You should get 100% on the quizzes or at worst 99%. So usually on non-assignment courses you can pass even with a poor grade on the final.

If you did the quizzes yourself you shouldn't have any problems with the final. Usually they match up exactly. I would be very surprised if you failed a final.

They tend to grade the essays pretty strictly so I wouldn't be shocked if you failed one of those, but you can just resubmit them. But I think you'll be fine on the finals.

Don't fail.

It’s not that simple when someone suffers from anxiety when taking exams.

From one tester who has anxiety to another... Study.com proctoring is actually very easy going, it's not intrusive and there is no person there to startle you while you're working on your test. My first exam with Study.com was much smoother than StraighterLine as Study.com is just a recording of your exam, StraighterLine is a real person watching you do the exam in real time... I have never come across an issue with failing either, ever... I have had exams flagged due to technical issues...

Anyways, Study.com has two types of courses, lower level and upper level. LL courses are 33.3% quizzes and 66.6% final exam, you can pass a course by scoring high on the quizzes and mediocre on the final (lowest score for a pass is 57% if you have 100% on the quizzes). Now for the UL, it's easier, 33.3% quizzes, 33.3% assignments, and 33.3% on the final, so if you do well on the quizzes and well on the assignment, the minimum needed for the final is about 33%. Be prepared!

Some SDC exams are harder than you might expect. That's why it's essential to do as well as you can in the quizzes. But it's actually hard to fail most SDC courses due to how well the videos and quizzes prepare you.

If you fail three times, you cannot retake the course. It is a one time deal. But at least with quizzes, just right click on print answers on answer key worksheet and choose open in a new window. And the answer key for all the quizzes is there. Can't fail that.
