Fastest Respected Business Leadership Degree?
#1
Hi all. This is my first post to this forum but I plan to stick around and I definitely plan to help others once I get the hang of this. I've been planning my intro post on this forum for a very long time..

Your Location: Connecticut
Your Age: 34
What kind of degree do you want?: Business degree, preferably something lucrative and useful. Project Management would be a top choice but leadership and management is good, as well as even business administration. Looking for quick and inexpensive but I also do not want the degree to be laughed at by hiring managers so it can't be from a degree mill. I want to put in good work.

Welcome to the board, great intro post with the addendum and template. Your bests are UMPI and UoPeople, I even did a thread comparing the two. You have roughly 90 credits already, you just need to finish at the institution of choice if all of these hit your general education and electives, you just need to complete the major. I would skip NA (DEAC institutions) for now. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...s-Time-etc

Thank you for your fast reply Mr. Cheung. You are sincerely an enormous help to so many people here and I really appreciate that. I have seen you tell others about a project management minor at UMPI and I was wondering if you would be able to expand on that? I'm not seeing any project management Mypace programs at this school. I have been wondering if I should look into SNHU for their online project management course? but would they take as many credits as UMPI and would the courses be as fast as UMPI? Im also weary of UOTP because I've read that it'll take a longer time to finish. I'll have to read your comparison!

Thank you for all of the help you provide everyone here in this forum!

You have two options:

In the Academic Programs section of the UMPI Catalog, you'll see a Project Management minor. All the courses you'd need for that minor can be completed as YourPace courses.

There are more course requirements, but you might also consider the BA in Business Administration with concentration in Project Management.

Degrees that are fast and respected typically don't go hand in hand. You usually have to choose between speed and prestige...

UMPI is a public/state institution, they're part of the University of Maine system... I would go for them first and have UoPeople as your backup option. Just make sure to take 90+ credits from Sophia.org, Study.com College Starter, or something similar to get you to the final steps. You should only need 10 classes at either institution for the 30 credits residency. ACE classes should cover all the general education and electives, just need to work on your final classes for the major and you're good to go.
