2 classes- which accelerated route should I take?
#1
I need Religion (for WGU humanities credit) and Business Law.

I was going to take them both through Sophia but the religion class now has multiple lengthy touchstones and they have a delay in grading (says up to 12 days) and the business class has one touchstone.  I am STILL waiting for my first 2 touchstones to be graded for Sophia- Public Speaking.

What are your experiences/suggestions on Religion and Business Law-  Straighterline or Study.com?  Huh

Thanks Everyone!!

Email Sophia.org to open up a course for you while waiting! Don't go with StraighterLine and/or Study.com unless you really need to... For me, before Sophia became my #1 for Lower Level, I used StraighterLine for all lower level and Study.com for upper level requirements.

With WGU, there should be lots of options for Humanities.  I highly recommend Visual Communications as there are only 9 challenges.

Public Speaking and English Comp have always had long grading times. However, Business Law has a pretty quick turnaround time! Unlike Public Speaking and English Comp, which have nuanced grading due to opinions, the Touchstone for Business Law is both easy and pretty black and white. I think mine took less than 48 hours to grade. It was super quick. It's possible that yours might take a bit longer, but it shouldn't take weeks.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

The name "Visual Communications" is a bit misleading. You would think it's about MS Powerpoints/Presentations or something, but it is really about the design process and gives you insights into why choices are made behind various designs.  It's a hidden gem.

So whether you are into IT, marketing, or just curious how the design process works, it's a fun class to do.

Thanks for the feedback on the course. I'll keep recommending it to people!
